Elijah Been

Expertise: Videographer, Editor, Writer, Sound/Audio and Voiceovers (VO’S)

Schooling/Education: Sophomore in the All Nations program at South High.

About me:Elijah Been comes from Minneapolis, born and raised. He is a descendant of the White Earth band of Ojibwe. What attracted him to First Person Productions was the opportunities that are provided to explore his passion for the arts. He loves music and can read sheet music and play multiple instruments, and he also does some creative writing, so it only seemed natural for him to expand his love of the arts to more art forms. Some of his hobbies other than the before-mentioned are sports, namely Wrestling and Traditional Lacrosse. Wrestling and music are some of his passions and he strives to excel in these, and having lettered in wrestling twice and being musically fluent, it pays off.

Riah Stroud

Expertise: Pro and Director

School: Junior at Washburn High School - Art Club & Dare 2 Be Real (D2BR)

About me: Born in Minneapolis and raised on the Red Lake reservation for 9 years until her mother decided to move back to the city, she is also enrolled in the Chippewa, Ojibwe Tribe. After some gang related violence, her family decided it wasn't safe for them to live on the reservation anymore, but still they go every summer break to see their grandma. First year living in Minneapolis, she and her siblings went to City View elementary for a year but that didn't last long due to the neighborhood it was in and the excessive bullying they went through. Then moved a year later to South side Minneapolis and ended up going to Anishinabe Academy from 3rd grade and finished there until High School. During her years in Middle School she got really involved with the arts. So much that she had won the school's art show award for the Seven Grandfather's Teachings 5 years in a row. Only recently she got into film working with MIGIZI through Step-Up over the summer then continuing her internship into the school year. Now she is taking IB Visual Art courses and very involved in after school clubs like Art club and Dare to Be Real, which is a Social Justice club taking on race upfront and creating solutions to defeat racism.

Ever since 6th grade I've been interested in the arts; painting, drawing, photography, videography and photoshop and now Film.

Samantha Gilbert

My name is Samantha Gilbert, I go by Sam. I am 16 years old, I am Ojibwe from Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin and Leech Lake, MN and Paiute from Bridgeport, California. I am a junior at South High School in Minneapolis. I used to play basketball and softball and hope to play again this next school year. I am quiet and shy but once I get comfortable with my surrounding I begin to be more talkative.

I don’t really have any media experiences, I do use social media but not often. I do take photos sometimes. When I was younger I wanted to be photographer.

My goal for school is to continue on being in the higher honor roll. I want to graduate high school. After high school I want to go to school for engineering or construction. I was thinking of going to either Dunwoody or the U of M.

Deliah Medina

My name is Deliah Medina, I am 18 years old. I grew up in South Minneapolis in Little Earth. I was attending South High before transferring to an alternative school in 11th grade. I recently graduated from South high. I plan to attend classes at MCTC doing my generals before transferring to a university.

I am not sure what I want to major in as of now but I enjoy cooking and being around my family in my free time.

Chad Johnson

My name is Chad Johnson, I'm 16 years old and Currently going to an alternative school called Menlo Park Academy. I used to be a media intern at Asian Media Access, I'm pretty sure that's how I'm here now. A huge huge goal for me in the future would be for me to become the producer that I wasn't To be. And the last goal would be me finally getting to shoot movies , star in movies , editing and even music video shooting.

Seqouy Bryan

Hey my name is Sequoy Bryan and I love basketball and working with technology so I am participating with the Migizi Summer Media Institute interning with First Person Productions. I am from Minneapolis Minnesota but I travel a lot. I am also African American, Mexican and Native American. My plan for the future is to play basketball for a Division one college and see how far I can go with that but while I’m in college I want to study something that has to do with technology.

Charles Thomas

My name is Charles Thomas, I want to introduce you to a new world order of Young Doe. As a person I go as CT Doe. But for me this summer it is becoming more of an institute for me to appreciate the ways of learning. I work alongside with (The Summer Media Institute) I plan to achieve more work ethics of understanding technology and learning to be a better company to people generally.

A couple years back I got into the gaming community involving the use of sniping, feeding, live streams, trickshotting, Recording gameplay, graphic art, 2D or 3D art and also video editing. I’ve had lots of time throughout the years to kinda perfect my flaws but they haven’t seemed to peak, So i have to keep pushing and rocking the boat, But in order to stay afloat I have to learn the ropes. I love communicating with people and enhancing ideas, I love comparing and contrasting processes, possibilities, and opportunity. From the past to the future feels like the future came back in time and recycled things or made things happen even more.

Ludger Lenarz-RedEagle

Name’s Ludger, but you can also call me Lu or Jett. I’m nonbinary (bigender in particular). I’m fine with any pronouns except they/them, my preferred set being it/its. I’m a very spiritual person and I enjoy working with astral entities, spirits, servitors and magick. I don’t worship any gods, although I do occasionally work with the Egyptian goddess Isis, the Goetian goddess Lerajie (and I plan to work with more of the Goetian gods) and one of Amaterasu’s daughters, Yukino. My favorite astral race to work with are the big burly talking dogs from hell, which you’ll know as hellhounds. In many past lives I lived as healer and/or a spiritual leader, and I do believe the pattern is following through in this life (particularly the path of a healer). I’m Native/white and my tribe is Red Lake. I’m also neurodivergent, and it’s a big part of my identity as it affects my everyday life, although I’m not going to go into detail about what I’m diagnosed with but I will say it goes past anxiety/depression.
